What is AI? Machine learning VS Deep learning.

         As we know Artificial Intelligence is the most emerging field in this era. Since, the start of computers in the 1940s, humans are trying to make computers better and better with many evolutions. Computers pass through five generations to reach Artificial Intelligence. Machines can learn by themselves and make decisions.
        We often listen about Google, which is revolutionizing its system through deep learning, machine learning, or AI. We often hear about these terminologies in news, television, or social media. For example, Google makes a program Alpha Go that has Artificial intelligence powers to play a board game. This game requires much thinking and tough decisions. Google’s AlphaGo can play this game in such perfection. Also, another program was built by South Korea called Lee Se-dol to play this board game. A competition was held between both these programs to play the game while google’s AlphaGo wins.

What is Artificial Intelligence

         Artificial Intelligence is a subset of machine learning and deep learning. It is the capability of a machine to think by themselves and try to make simple decisions. Through Artificial Intelligence machines can do only simple tasks and make only little decisions. The rise of artificial intelligence starts in 2010 and the era called the fifth generation of computers.

Definition:

   AI is the vast field in technology that aims to make machines capable of thinking and doing tasks by themselves the same as humans. It is the technology that tries to make computers and robots too smart to make decisions as humans can make. Ai machines have artificial neural network similar to humans. That why called Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial Narrow Intelligence:

         Artificial Narrow Intelligence is the only type in which all the progress was made in Ai since the start. It can perform only a single and little task effectively. The robot or machine is designed for making very easy decisions in one specific aspect. ANI is being used in many big search engines, social media platforms.

Example:

        ANI is leading in all the categories. Search engines like google use Bots system to crawl webpages, to answer questions like how is the weather today? or restaurants near me, etc. Facebook and Slack are also using Bots in their platforms. Many other advancements in AI like Google assistant, Apples’s Siri, Google voice recognition all are the examples of Artificial Narrow Intelligence. 

Artificial General Intelligence:

   Artificial General Intelligence has no advancement so far. It is the type of intelligence that can do many tasks at one time like humans. All the general tasks that a human can do should also the robot can do. That is AGI.

Example:

     It is expected that AGI can make progress and change dreams to reality in two to three decades.

Artificial Super Intelligence:

       While in Artificial Super Intelligence no progress was made to date. This type of intelligence we only see in science fiction movies where such robots are trying to rule the world etc. In this intelligence, a computer can make general decisions. A robot or machine can do all the tasks like a human Being.

Example:

         ASI is not practical in real life.  ASI is only in the imagination of humans. It is like a robot that can do all the tasks more efficiently than a human being can do.

 

Rise Of GPU and TPU

       The invention of GPU and TPU, Graphics Processing Unit, and Tensor Processing Unit respectively make a big change in AI development.
       GPU can do parallel processing in a faster way. It can perform many tasks at one time. The speed of GPU is much much faster than the CPU(central processing Unit). It can do many Artificial intelligence tasks effectively such as image processing etc.
       On the other hand, TPU (tensor processing Unit) is specifically designed for artificial intelligence and supercomputers. They are very effective even much faster than the GPU but much expensive also.

What is Machine Learning:

       Machine learning falls under the general term AI. A machine learning program can learn from the data. It collects data and analyzes it to make an algorithm. Machine learning makes its performance better and better by taking inputs. By monitoring data and analyzing machine learning algorithms make new outputs and decisions. Machine learning is a process that is divided into three ways of learning.

Supervised Learning:

       Supervised learning is the type of training of the model with the help of labeled data. We provide the machine labeled data. From the basis of previous data, the machine learns and makes decisions. This type of learning is more time taking and expensive. It can make simple decisions but the chances of true decisions are more in this case.

Unsupervised Learning:

      It is the type of learning that does not contain labeled data. Machines make decisions by themselves. That type of learning helps out to solve more complex situations. But the chances of wrong predictions are also more in this case.

Reinforcement Learning:

      Reinforcement learning is the type of learning in which a machine is trained to make more than one decision.  A sequence of decisions is made to reach a true conclusion.

 

 

What is Deep Learning:

          Deep learning is the subset of machine learning and both Artificial INtelligence is the superset of both. Deep learning is more accurate in making decisions. It uses ANN (Artificial Neural Network), a neural network inspired by the humans brain neural network. It is also called the brain of AI.

Conclusion:

        In this article, we discuss the most advanced field of the present era. We are living in a world where technology is grooming itself very rapidly. Many big companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and youtube, etc are using deep learning mechanisms. They are trying to facilitate users in a better way. Google updated its algorithm too much that reach it’s Ai infrastructure to a high level that makes a log for every user that uses a search engine to search for some query. 

       On the basis of user queries, Google makes a record that contains the interests of the user. Then, it starts showing Ads and videos, and articles according to the taste and touch of the user. That’s how google’s search algorithm use machine learning to improve his marketing strategy. Many other devices like Apple’s Siri, Google voice search, Google Photos, Google Assistant, and Gmail is Using AI technologies.
